I bring 40years’ experience that includes working with animals, veterinarians, animal rescue, pet therapy and managing a local veterinary practice.  My life revolves around animals.
I am a caring and concerned person when it comes to the welfare of all animals. Possesing a strong passion and love for animals is why I opened Doggy Days & Cat Nap Acres.
Doggy Days has been "A Dream Come True" even though it is hard work, it is a labor of love.

Doggy Days & Cat Nap Acres is owned by Faye & Jim Bailey and operated by Faye.
Faye and Jim both have a great love for pets and wild life. They value humane care for all. They are the pet parents of a wide array of dogs, cats, horses and a parrot named "PACO" who takes center stage of their home.

Doggy Days was built in 2005 for the sole purpose to offer the kind of care that responsible pet parents desire for their pet. Kind comfortable care administer by someone who is responsible, knowledgeable and has the capacity to care for someone elses pet as if it were their own.

Since the business first opened 10/5/2005 we have been very blessed. Through the years I have enjoyed meeting the folks in the Glasgow-Barren County community. We have been thankful to care for so many pets and meet many great folks in the process.
Our area here in Kentucky is very diverse and attracts many visitors. This is a bonus because we get to meet lots of pet owners from all over the United States.

During 2015 the business changed its protocol. We have reduced the number of pets we keep for board. By doing so we are able to provide what we feel is a calmer environment and more specialized care. This allows time for careful hands on attention being given to the each pet.

I enjoy caring for all pet breeds, ages, sizes and personalities. I have a special interest in caring for Senior Pet; Pets with disabilities, medical issues, such as diabetes, blindness and other disabilities. It is often difficult for these pets to fare well in a traditional boarding facility. I find satisfaction in making their stay away from their owners one where they feel secure and relaxed.
